Huawei u8500 / Ideos X2 Cm7 based custom rom

This rom is for the old Huawei u8500 phone , based on the 600 mhz Qualcomm cpu same as ZTE blade.

The rom will upgrade the phone boot logo , loading animation , and software version.

2.2.2 or 2.2.1 to 2.3.7.

First up, unpack the whole package into a folder , easy accesible , like desktop or so.

You will find a short version of this guide included with the pack , if you are more an expert.

Installation is quite not simple , you need to root your phone , with z4root (included ), you need to enable unknown sources for this to work , also usb debug , so do this before proceeding.

Rooted phone will forst reboot when the root completes , then you need to install rom manager (included), and with a working wifi connection (recommended) or 3g , download the recovery , by choosing to install clockwokmod recovery , celect the huawei u8160 since these phones are nearly identical , rom manager will ask to install and  go to recovery mode , proceed so.

After a succesful installation you should be in clockwork mod recovery.

Choose reboot , for now , and enter with your power key pressed. That will make the phone load again , now copy the rom included rom-3.5-mod.zip, to the sd card root.

Now you need to reboot to recovery mode, navigate to the folder where you placedthe files and press Ctrl and Shift together and right click to a spot with no icons, choose open command prompt here.

Now with the open command window , type : adb reboot recovery , hit enter.

Phone will reboot to clockworkmod recovery , now you need to clear data , choose wipe data factoy reset, and then enter with your power key.

You can navigate with vlume keys up , down , choose yes.

Next , you need to install the rom, select choose zip from sd card , and select the rom-3.5-mod.zip, accept with power key , the choose to install , yes , with power key.

Now if you did it right , the install begins.

About 3-4 minues later , it will be done , now you need to reboot the phone.

First load will take , 5-8 minutes , after that , choose your language , complete the setup and done , enjoy.

The included youtube app works ok , not need to sig in , when it ask you , just push back key.

Rom is based on cyanogen mod 7.
