0. Disclaimer

The usual stuff : 

This package might be most suitable for experienced users but everybody is welcome to use it at his own risk.

Flashing / Rooting your phone and using software tools have risks indeed = if instructions aren't followed you can BRICK YOUR DEVICE. Therefore please read carefully all of the instructions & follow them if You choose to go on at your own risk.

If You don't understand the instructions stop & search on Google/Boards/XDA/etc. and / or ask for help.

All the mentioned software & tools belong to their respective owners/developers. Neither I nor the owners / developers are not to be held responsible if you damage or brick your device.

1. ROM Flashing 

HNR-CM13 – CyanogenMOD 13 – Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for AMOI L861 device (MT6795 – WQHD) – other known re-brands for such phone :

- STONEX ONE #Galileo – #DaVinci – #Dante

- Santin Dante – DaVinci – Marconi
 

Pre-Requirements :

-          Start from a custom ROM already flashed on the device = FuelOS – PPOS – FlyMEOS . Such ROMs already include custom TWRP recovery 3.0.2 & have unified data storage (while stock firmware uses splitted-data partitioning).

 

Once ready enter TWRP recovery through ADB or using QuickReboot (requires root).

Once in TWRP :

- Mount System
- Advanced Wipe : Cache / System / Data
- Install zip (choose latest available package)
- Reboot & proceed with initial ROM setup

Then, follow GAPPS instructions to avoid "uncertified device" notice when setting up Google account / services = since March 16th Google has enforced its policies against non-certified devices, that use GAPPS without licensing rights and/or certification status (such as devices running custom roms).

2. GAPPS Installation / configuration :

 

After you have completed the initial configuration, reboot into TWRP recovery
 

Install the GAPPS package – you can use provided Full set of OpenGapps
 

Wipe Cache and Dalvik
 

Reboot the system
 

Install the provided DEVICE_ID.APK and run it
 

Copy the value of Google Service Framework (GSF)
 

Convert this HEX value to DEC, for example, using an online converter - https://www.binaryhexconverter.com/hex-to-decimal-converter
 

Open the browser ( on your smartphone or computer ) and go to https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/ 
- login with the same Google account, that You will use on your smartphone
 

Enter the DEC value and register. Refresh webpage in order to check everything ok (you'll see ID below).
 

Reboot your smartphone
 

Go to Settings Accounts and set up a Google Account

6). Choose File> Open File Agent download and specify the file MTK_AllInOneDA.bin (it is in the folder SP_MDT).

7). Click Scatter File and select the MT6580_Android_scatter.txt file (it's in the folder with the rom).

8). Click "Start all".

9). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The program should see and blink. If the phone is not detected, then unplug it from the computer,

 remove and insert the battery (if the battery is removable) and reconnect it to the computer.

10). After (OK) click Stop and disable any phone.

11). Completed.

1). Turn off the smartphone. Cable is not connected to the computer.

2). Remove the battery and insert it again (if the battery is removable)

3). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The operating system detects a new device

4). Disconnect the cable from the computer.

5). Run SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe

6). Choose File> Open File Agent download and specify the file MTK_AllInOneDA.bin (it is in the folder SP_MDT).

7). Click Scatter File and select the MT6580_Android_scatter.txt file (it's in the folder with the rom).

8). Click "Start all".

9). Connect your phone to a computer cable. The program should see and blink. If the phone is not detected, then unplug it from the computer,

 remove and insert the battery (if the battery is removable) and reconnect it to the computer.

10). After (OK) click Stop and disable any phone.

11). Completed.

MIUI V9 8.3.29

Current version

- miui root not present, SuperSU is installed with the rom

- removed some unused libraries and binaries, because related to MT6795 PowerVR gpu.

- add some useful apps: AcXdcc, AdFree, CpuSpy

- for all versions, read changelog on xiaomi.eu

NEW: modified Updater.apk: now you will receive OTA update of this ROM, don't worry about the downloaded file name, check only if it start with prefix "caber_", i must retain HMNote2 in the file name to let Updater.apk retrieve changelog info from xiaomi.eu servers.

Sorry, no more OTA update with miui.com global rom. If system propose you an update DON'T DO IT.

 

Installation

Use a custom recovey to install this ROM like TWRP.

Copy .zip to root of your SD card, power up into recovery mode, select Wipe Data Factoy Reset _ONLY_ if you come to MIUI from another ROM type, (no need to execute factory reset if you already use MIUI ROM), now Install ZIP from SD card.

First boot after install take very long time (5-6 min), wait patiently.

Choice English language to correctly complete the initial setup, otherwise MiCloud will crash and you can't complete the initail setup (this is a MIUI known bug). also to speed up initial setup, do not insert your Google and Xiaomi account informations.

Don't activate MiMessage and Find Device features, they are payment services (just one sms for each).

When installation is completed you can safetly change language and insert your Google and Xiaomi account informations.

 

Known BUGs

1 – Camera HDR crash.

2 – Return from fly mode don't work.

3 – Sometimes screen goes black, need to cycle power button to reactivate (maybe solved)

4 – High battery drain (a bit better in new MIUI 9)

5 – Second space not working (works from 6.8.25)

6 – Long screenshot not work (works from 6.7.21)

7 – Color problems in FullHD video recording (works from 6.8.25)

8 – usb MTP PC connection problems

9 – OTA update are not for Jiayu S3

and more i don't know yet!

NFC and Gesture are not present because not present in original Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 ROM, don't ask me to add, i can't do that.
